I am pleased that Lewis Hagen asked me to write a few words for this newsletter. I have long been an admirer of Tom Elliott and the N-Bar program, and I’m glad that Sinclair is keeping on the tradition of what that breeding program represented.

Before I went to work for the Red Angus Association, I managed a Black Angus operation in New England, and we used N-Bar bloodlines extensively. Right after I started that job I attended N-Bar’s sale and bought an intensely line-bred Emulation 31 son to use primarily on daughters of Band 105 bloodlines. A farm accident 11 years ago ended my tenure at that farm, but started my career at Red Angus.
